Amy Chan Becomes Bobby AuYeung's "See Mui", Makes Comeback in HK Series

 Amy Chan had been on hiatus from acting for four years. Recently she and old partner Bobby Au-Yeung signed under the same manager Lydia in hope to charge back into HK series and meet the audience again. The hilarious Bobby joked the artists under Lydia's management are getting old, except for Amy Chan and Jessica Hsuan, the group can now be "Man of 60s Elite Entertainment Company Limited".

Since 2009 when Amy starred in producer Gary Tang's ATV series The Men of Justice, she had not appeared on-screen and spent the last few years enhancing her personal life. Her only son has already grown up and out in the real world working, she no longer has to be a worrying mother. Amy can now plan for her own happiness and get back into what she had always loved doing, acting. She smiled and said she is not at the retirement age yet. Coincidentally she met Lydia one time and they talked about her comeback. The two clicked at once, she signed under Lydia's management and hopes her new company can help her develop in showbiz all over again. Amy and her old buddy Bobby are under the same management now. Earlier at Bobby's birthday party, of course she was there to celebrate with him. Aside from Bobby and his wife, there was also Jessica Hsuan, the "family" had a meaningful birthday celebration. Amy frankly expressed she feels particularly close and familiar seeing Bobby again. "My son is working now, he doesn't need me to worry about him anymore. Its been a long time since I've been in a HK series. I really hope to meet the audience again, but I need to first lose weight. I feel quite pressured actually!"

Bobby happily expressed: "I was so happy to see her again at my birthday. Still as elegant as before. I just couldn't believe after all that, we became colleagues again. We will have more chances to collaborate in the future. Getting another partner...it's hard to find! I'm talking about her (Amy)! I could at least pair up with a young model, but female artists are hard to match. I can be her partner! (Amy said she needs to lose weight and its pressuring?) Match me, I'm fat. But thinner is no problem too!"

Miriam Yeung Becomes Haggard from Motherhood Stress

 
While Miriam Yeung (杨千嬅) maintains her fierce and glamorous looks on stage as a singer, she was spotted shockingly haggard without makeup at a recent shopping trip. Did caring for one-year-old son, Torres Ting (丁進諾), add to Miriam’s stress?


Lately, Miriam is busy researching information about schools in preparation for her son’s kindergarten entrance. Last week, she was spotted wearing a regular t-shirt and leggings with heavy bags under her eyes at a local supermarket.


Besides going barefaced, it was noticeable that Miriam has had sleepless nights worrying over her son’s future when dark circles were visible on her face. Miriam paid no attention to what reporters had to say about her new image and instead, expressed that her son’s future is more important. Because of the pressure, she fell ill and had to pass on the duties to her husband, Real Ting (丁子高).


An insider revealed that besides practicing entrance interviews with Torres, all of Miriam’s dinner outings with friends consist of talks about education. As well, all toys bought for Torres were related to learning.

Besides Miriam, Real also stressed the importance of playgroups and said, “I don’t want my son to enter school without knowing anything. I went to St. Joseph’s, and while I want my son to go there, I’ll have to see which playgroup matches his personality first.”

Bosco Wong and Linda Chung criticised

Actors Bosco Wong and Linda Chung were recently criticised for their poor singing during their live performances at the first round of 2013's JSG Selections.

According to Apple Daily, Bosco and Linda, who won a Golden Song Award each for their hit single, "The Final Blessing" and "You Are One Half Of Me" respectively, disappointed their supportive fans with their lacklustre performance when asked to perform live on stage. 

Netizens claimed that the two actors' could not control their vocals and did not hit the right notes. Some even questioned Linda's ability to hold a solo mini-concert in August after her uninspired performance. 

When asked to comment on the criticism, Bosco Wong stated, "I thought I have given a good performance. But still, I will accept the criticism and improve my routine." 

Meanwhile, Linda Chung has no comment on the criticism. Her "Love Love Love: mini-concert will be held at the Kowloonbay International Trade and Exhibition Center (KINTEC) on 22 and 23 August.

Producing his first drama, Perfect Couple <金玉良缘>, Wallace had many questions for the more experienced Michelle.

Adding to complexity of the relationship, Wallace supposedly broke off with Ruby Lin (林心如) because of Ruby’s more successful career. Wallace’s representative brushed off Wallace’s rumors with Ruby, which circulated since last year.


 Michelle Injured on Set

With romantic rumors flying, Michelle’s work schedule is even busier. Earlier in June, Michelle made a brief trip to Hong Kong to attend a press conference announcing the upcoming film Overheard 3 <竊聽風雲3>. Michelle will reprise her role as Tsui Foon in the crime thriller’s latest installment, which also stars Louis Koo (古天樂), Lau Ching Wan (劉青雲), and Daniel Wu (吳彥祖).

Returning back to mainland China, Michelle Ye (葉璇) has been handling her own action stunts and bruised her arm heavily. The new mainland drama required Michelle to do many action stunts, including jumping down several feet below. Showing the painful bruise, Michelle posted on Weibo, “A minute on the stage, the pain lasts a long time offstage.”

This is not Michelle’s first injury from filming. Back in 2005 when she was still filming for TVB, she injured her eyes while filming The Herbalist’s Manual <本 草藥王>, causing her eyes to tear in blood. She had to undergo surgery to unclog her eyes. In the same year, she injured her nose bridge while working in another film for director Wong Jing (王晶). She had to be rushed to for medical attention the day after when she started having nose bleeds. It was later confirmed that the cartilage of her nose was damaged.

Sammi cheng dances in place of yoga

Jordan chan takes two year off to raise his son

Congratulations! The 45 year old Jordan Chan Siu Chun and the 30 year old Cherrie Ying Choi Yi finally on July 1st gave birth to an almost 6 pound son Jasper. Little Siu Chun was born earlier than expected. When Ying Choi Yi realized her water broke, she immediately asked Siu Chun to return to Hong Kong. Siu Chun was lucky enough to return from Tianjin in time to be in the delivery room with his wife and witness the birth of his son under typhoon signal 3. Ying Choi Yi admitted it was like a dream and even joked that since her son was born during a storm, perhaps he would be able to command storms!

New father Chan Siu Chun spoke to the media outside the hospital. He could not hide his joy. "My son was born on July 1st. I of course went into the delivery room with my wife. My son is almost 6 pounds. The delivery was not natural but the entire process went very smoothly. She was very tough and wasn't scared at all." Siu Chun was in Tianjin when he learned that his wife was about to give birth. He immediately returned to Hong Kong. As soon as he landed he rushed into the delivery room. Finally he was able to accompany Ting Ting into the delivery room; however, Siu Chun has yet to be able to hold the baby yet because the baby had to be kept under observation in an incubator. However last night Siu Chun finally was able to hold the baby! He made a baby carrying pose for the press. "Earlier during an interview I had a lesson, I don't think I will have any problem. I scored in the 80s." Will he distribute baby photos? He said, "Probably not, I will save them for myself."

Siu Chun revealed that Jasper's mouth resembled his Mommy's and nose and eyebrows like Papa's. He said, "He is very hairy, I mean eyebrows, hair too. His limbs are long. Of course he is very handsome." He even praised his wife for being tough. Even with the anesthesia she still could feel the operation in her lower half. She even spoke as her eyes teared up. Siu Chun felt that this was an experience that only women would be able to experience and tough out. He of course was very touched and even thanked his wife with a kiss for giving birth to his baby.

His son for now has no Chinese name yet, he would leave it for his wife to decide. For now he would be breast fed. He was the happiest that his son shared an astrological sign with him. "Coincidentally he was born on July 1st. Every year we will have fireworks to celebrate with. (It doesn't happen every year) It's still good!" According to Ying Choi Yi's facebook post, their son is named Jasper. Because Siu Chun's English name was Jordan, their son's name had to start with a J as well.

Will he reduce work to take care of his family? Siu Chun helplessly said that originally he wanted to stay in Hong Kong more to spend more time with the baby, but from July to August he will have to fly to Tianjin for work.

Siu Chun revealed that his wife always asked him to take acting roles, but he refused to yield. He planned to perform concerts for extra money, which was better than leaving several months for acting. Thus after all the work on hand he would not work another Mainland series for at least one to two years. He whined, "Give me some time with my son first. My wife had to suffer to give birth to our son. This would be a type of pleasure for the parents."

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heung Wa Keung yesterday visited at the hospital. Their son Jacky Heung Jor brought a gift in a Burberry bag. Mrs. Heung said, "I haven't called Ting Ting yet, but I believe they have to be very excited. (Will you give them any parenthood tips?) I believe they have done a lot of homework."

YOUNG AND DANGEROUS (GOO WAT JAI)'s Chicken Chan Siu Chun became a father, his co-star friends of course were happy for him. The humorous "Chan Ho Nam" Dior Cheng Yi Kin congratulated Siu Chun online right away, "Congratulation Pal, welcome Little Siu Chun."

"Dai Tin Yee" Michael Tse Tin Wa yesterday brought champagne to hospital to visit with his wife. After a hour, they left in the company of Siu Chun. Tin Wa said that because the hospital has not permitted it yet they have not yet seen "Chun B". He said, "I am very happy for them, I saw Siu Chun smile from the heart. (Did you give him any parenthood tips?) I didn't ask, but maybe tomorrow we will be back to see the baby." As for "Bau Pei" Jerry Lamb Hiu Fung, when asked if he would share any parenthood tips with Siu Chun he revealed, "He wouldn't listen. He listens to the boss (Ying Choi Yi)! We suggested names for his son, he told us not to mess around and to stay away. He wasn't afraid of his old lady, it's respect."

Linda Chung "I Want to Get Married" in Guam

Linda Chung has joined the photo book trend with her debut launch of Happiness (幸福), competing with the other lengmos at the Book Fair this year. Selling her purity, Linda BB declines to being sexy, she's only selling her looks, long legs and trip to Guam. Her record company boss (Herman Ho) was there to personally supervise her. First time challenging singing and dancing, Linda expressed she did not perform to her [rumored] boyfriend. "Nobody has seen it. Keep it a secret!" It was said Linda only had the opportunity to hold a solo concert was because she's heavily favored by Herman. Linda said: "He takes good care of me, but he gives the same treatment to all other artists. I've been singing for 5 years now and have been working very hard."

Cecilia Cheung has a new beau?

Cecilia Cheung reportedly has a new man in her life, and that is, Hong Kong boy band C Allstar’s lead vocalist, Andy Leung. Dressed in a young outfit, 33-year-old Cecilia was spotted picking up her alleged new beau, Andy after his event on 26 June 2013. Although Andy was seven years younger than Cecilia, he appeared to be at ease communicating with her. 

The 27-year-old Andy appeared to be chatting non stop with Cecilia and tried to entertain her in the car. At one point, he even took off his glasses and pretended to act like a little fan and tried to lean towards her shoulders.

Cecilia was spotted driving Andy back to her apartment where she lived with her two sons, Lucas and Quintus. The building’s security guard was surprised to see that she took a man home, but dared not look at the couple directly. Cecilia could be trying to create opportunities for her two sons to familiarise with her new beau. Andy reportedly was not sighted leaving her house that night.

Cecilia and Andy reportedly met at an event in May 2013. Like a fan meeting his idol, Andy took the initiative to take a picture with Cecilia and also took the chance to introduce himself. He also invited Cecilia to the C Allstar’s concert and even gave her their album and concert tickets.

Two days (24 May 2013) before Cecilia’s birthday, she attended C Allstar concert alone. Dressing young in a pair of shorts and boots, Cecilia behaved like a fan at the concert and kept taking pictures of Andy’s performance.

An insider shared that Cecilia had been dolling herself in young outfits these days due to her new romance.

However, Cecilia’s son Lucas reportedly is against her mum’s newfound love. Still hoping that his parents would reconcile, Lucas allegedly often called Nicholas to update him on the progress of Cecilia and Andy. Lucas also said to Nicholas that he did not like the “big brother” visiting his house.

Andy has dismissed his romantic rumours with Cecilia and clarified that his visit to her house was for official work only.

“C AllStar recently has been working with Cecilia to perform together in China. That day was just a business meeting. I laughed at the reports after reading it because every C Allstar member was having a meeting with Cecilia. It just happened that I managed to record my song earlier that day and had an earlier meeting with her. The rest of the members also had meeting with her.”

Asked why the meeting was conducted at Cecilia’s house, Andy said, “Because Cecilia needed to rush home to look after her kids. Please do not misunderstand.”
